In November 2014 Giving Poverty a Voice held a conference to look back over the project so far, highlight its achievements and address its impact on participants’ lives. This report summarises the key findings of that event and examines the experiences of those with first-hand experience of poverty, inequality and social exclusion in relation to participating in the democratic process, meeting decision makers and getting involved in their local communities.
