How we use your personal information:
ATD FOURTH WORLD is a human rights based anti-poverty organisation, with over 50 years experience of tackling inequality and promoting social justice in the UK.
We value the support of all those who join us in solidarity with those in extreme poverty and we hold personal information to help us in this task. We are committed to respecting your privacy and keeping your personal data secure. This privacy notice tells you how ATD Fourth World is meeting its data protection obligations.
We do not share your information with other organisations, unless legally required to do so.

The sort of information that we collect and store includes:
• Your name and contact information – address, email, landline/mobile number.
• Date of birth.
• Your bank account and Gift Aid details if you donate to ATD by direct transfer.
• Your position within the organisation, if relevant.
• Event attendance information, such as whether you are part of one of our projects, have stayed at Frimhurst Family House or taken part in one of our events.
• Evaluations and feedback.
• We occasionally arrange visits to other countries for events, meetings or celebrations. We will always ask for your consent before sharing personal information with other countries.
Our lawful basis for collecting personal information
All organisations are required to have a lawful basis for collecting and processing personal information. Our lawful basis for collecting your information is your consent.
If we have had your information for some time, you will receive opt-out information when you receive any communications from us or you can opt-out at any time by calling our office on the number above.
We process this information under the Data Protection Act 1998 and the EU 2016/679 regulation (also known as the General Data Protection Regulation or GDPR) which covers the protection of individuals and the use and protection of personal data.
Why we collect and use this information
We use personal data to:
• Send out our annual review and newsletters about our events and projects.
• Send you fundraising appeals and record your donations and Gift Aid information.
• Send correspondence relevant to your involvement with ATD Fourth World UK.
• Keep a record of the correspondence you have sent to us.
Storing this information
We hold your information in a secure database system or in secure filing cabinets accessible only to employees and volunteers trained in data protection.
Requesting access to your personal data
Under data protection legislation, you have the right to request access to the information we hold about you. To make a request for your personal information, please contact us in writing:
