In the June 2015 study group Professors Brid Featherstone and Kate Morris made a guest presentation around a number of issues raised in their book, Re-imagining Child Protection. This was followed by a debate on the question of whether social work in the UK is today rooted less in supporting and more in policing families, especially families living in poverty.
