Wider World Conversations

ATD Fourth World’s virtual ‘Wider World Conversations’ began in 2023, serving as an opportunity for individuals to develop a sense of connection to ATD Fourth World’s actions across the world, as well as to discover and explore topics more broadly related to the wider context of social justice and anti-poverty action.

Participants take turns facilitating conversations, creating safe spaces to delve into broad interests. From questions of how to communicate ethically and authentically, to gaining an understanding of missing and murdered Indigenous women in New Mexico, to connecting to musicians from Playing for Change, Wider World Conversations spark thoughtful and inspiring conversations, allow participants to share ideas, and build a global community.

We are delighted to announce that, after a brief pause in late 2025, these conversations have resumed!

The upcoming dates scheduled for 2026 are as follows, always on the fourth Thursday of the month at the same time:

  • 26 February 2026, from 11 am to 12:30 pm EST / 4 to 5:30 pm GMT
  • 26 March 2026, from 11 am to 12:30 pm EST / 4 to 5:30 pm GMT
  • 23 April 2026, from 11 am to 12:30 pm EST / 4 to 5:30 pm GMT
  • 28 May 2026, from 11 am to 12:30 pm EST / 4 to 5:30 pm GMT
  • 25 June 2026, from 11 am to 12:30 pm EST / 4 to 5:30 pm GMT
  • and so on.

These conversations are open to ATD Fourth World friends, allies, volunteers, and those interested in our work — wherever in the world they’re based. We would love to welcome you into our WWCs, so if you are interested in joining in, please reach out to skeltond@atd-uk.org for more information.
