Learning about the Human Rights Act

On 23 April 2024, the British Institute for Human Rights offered a free training session to members of ATD Fourth World and of the Parents, Families and Allies Network about how to use the Human Rights Act and particularly article 8, which protects the right to respect for your private life, your family life, your home and your correspondence (letters, telephone calls and emails, for example). The slides from their presentation can be accessed here.

In a related project, this past winter BIHR funded ATD’s Youth Voices project to create its own tool for young people and children to understand their own rights. This is: “What are my human rights? A guide for young people“.
